Exhibitors in this category must be Amateur Quilters. This is the first time you have entered Quilt Showcase.

Original design with emphasis on colour, line and design. Abstract or figurative works that communicate an idea, emotion or concept. One Person.
8. PICTORIAL QUILTS – One Person
Size: Max 281cm on any side
A visible representation of a person, place or thing. – One Person
9. MINIATURE QUILTS All aspects are of a reduced scale.
Size: Max 60cm on any side or 240cm or less around all 4 sides
All aspects are of a reduced scale.
10. INNOVATIVE – CONTEMPORARY QUILTS – One Person
Size: Max 280cm on any side
The quilt must be original in design and innovative in one or more of the following – use of colour, choice of fabrics, block arrangements, quilting and/or overall style.
11. MODERN QUILTS
Max 280cm on any side
Modern aesthetic, influenced by bold colours in solid or prints, incorporating innovative quilting.

Includes Coverlets, Whole cloth, Stencilling, Embroidery, Crazy Quilting, Embellishment and Fabric manipulation – No Pictorial. Not to be used to avert Rule 2 – one entry per category allowed for judging.
13. CHALLENGE 2024: Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-create
Size: Min 60cm – Max140cm on any side OR 560cm or less around all 4 sides
A quilt created by recycling and reusing textiles that have been used for other purposes, such as denim jeans, shirting, curtains, blankets, bedding or other fabric furnishings. The majority of the quilt to be made of recycled textiles, both top and back (not batting). SEE Challenge details HERE
The Challenge quilt must be the work of one individual. One Challenge Entry per member. The Challenge will not be counted in the total of 3 entries that members can submit.
